pale blue light// poem

Rest your sleepy soul tonight
Dream amidst the pale blue light
Let your pain and worry go
Under the spell of azure glow
Lightly flowing through your hair
How I wish I was up there
Where hued halos light your dreams
Kissing your face where I should be
Where are we going, what can we do
When we are lost in lonely blue?
It's you who haunts my dreams tonight
My almost love in pale blue light.

2015 || a poem

Here's to me giving up.
Here's to me letting go.
Here's to heartbreaking goodbyes,
Here's to heart healing hello's.

Here's to Him who is strong.
Here's to Him who's still there
Here's to forgiving and forgetting
Here's to accepting His care.

Here's to remolding of clay
Here's to fires and kilns
Here's to refining redemption
Here's to death of my wills.

Here's to beauty from dust
Here's to beauty through pain
Here's to beauty within
Here's to crushing what's vein.

Here's to struggle and fight
Here's to peace and to calm
Here's to spiritual heat,
Here's to spiritual balm.

Here's to another year gone.
Here's to sorrowed and joyed.
Here's to the good Lord of light.
Here's to darkness destroyed.

Here's to the start of new things
Here's to the finish of old
Here's to courage to stand
Here's to strength to be bold.

Here's to friends who still stay,
Here's to friends who have gone.
Here's to souls yet unborn,
Here's to souls who've passed on.

Here's to you, oh new year.
Here's to hope and to change.
Here's to stains swapped with clean,
Here's to Glorious Exchange.

Here's to you, oh new year.
Here's to all you may bring.
Here's to the ticking of temporal time,

Here's to the coming of our King.

Christmas Eve// a reflection

I think one of the devil's greatest tools is to take away joy during Christmas. To make us forget the meaning of the history of this time. If we are dragged down with ourselves and fearful and worried about our lives, we don't focus on the opportunity for eternal life that's been won. We don't want to be better people come New Years. We feel hopeless. There is war. There is death. And there is NOT peace on earth or good will toward men.

It sounds cheesy, but Christmas is a fight. It's a battle, in each of our own hearts for who we live for, and why we live at all. The closer we come to Emanuel's returning, the stronger the devil will fight for souls. And through our Emanuel, we must fight all the harder. I encourage you, friends and family, to keep spreading joy. It's contagious, and people watch the way you live. Spread love, because you are loved so greatly by more than mortal hearts. Spread peace, because this world is screaming for it.
---
Oh come thou day-spring, come and cheer
Our spirits by thine advent here
Disperse the gloomy clouds of night
And death's dark shadows put to flight

Rejoice! Rejoice!
Emanuel shall come to thee oh Israel.
Rejoice! Rejoice!
Emanuel HAS COME TO THEE oh Israel.//

And he shall come again.

.:lost at sea:.

this is a song adaptation of my poem "Tide".
I really love this song, and I hope you to do.

I wrote to you my love, Many moons ago my love
A dear letter oh my love, For you

My heart is crashing with the waves, Ocean’s flow and ocean’s spray
And I pray it finds its way, To you.
--
It says

The fear of the unknown, haunts me to the bone, as i stand here alone, without you.

 For right has become wrong, in our tragic love song, when i thought that all along, i needed you.
Though I said that I was done, that my song had been sung, and the battle i won for my heart,

I still want you near, to calm all my fear, to wipe away the tear, you left as your mark.

Message in a Bottle
Message in a  Bottle

Oh My Message in a Bottle
Is Lost at Sea

Somehow inside, though I thought my love had died, im still pulled by the tide, to your smile.

I cannot control, the relentless pull, for my heart to be full, and believe like a child.
Oh I thought that we could be, just as strong as the sea, completely free, of this whole life.

But my faith is fading, for I cannot keep waiting, for you to start changing, your mind.

Message in a Bottle

Message in a  Bottle
Oh My Message in a Bottle

Is Lost at Sea
Lost at Sea , Lost at Sea , Lost at Sea.

I cannot hold much longer, for the waves are growing, stronger, making me to want wander back into your arms
And  In my twisted mind, while I’m  drowning i find, that i still want you mine, though you've killed my heart.
The seas foam and roar, tossing me to the shore, where I have been before, this i knew.

And the fear of the unknown, haunts me to be bone, i still stand here alone,
without you.

Message in a Bottle
Message in a  Bottle

Oh My Message in a Bottle, is
Lost at Sea
Lost at Sea
Lost at Sea.
Lost.

.birds.

Hey little bird there
Singing in the summer air
Tell me a story
Of peace, love and harmony.

Hey little bird red
There's something spinning in my head
Trying to make me fall in love
With the one I'm thinking of

Hey little bird there
Floating 'round without a care
Sing me a sweet song
Of old days long gone

Hey little bird blue
I've got a message for you
Send my prayer to heaven 's gate
I only hope I'm not too late

Hey little bird there
Singing in the summer air,
Tell the one I'm thinking of
That I don't want to lose his love

Oh hey little bird there
Singing in the summer air
Tell me a story
Of peace, love, and
Harmony.//

Stay.

Stop me, before I go
Then send me on my way.
I just, I just need to know
If you want me to stay.
Kiss me, before I go
Then I'll be on my way.
I just, I just need to know
If you want me to stay,
Then ask me to stay.
If you want me to stay,
Then ask me to stay,
For you.

//\\Paper Planes //\\

Two crumpled pieces of paper
Lying on the floor
Both a little lonely, both a little blue
Broken hearted, tattered and torn.

Two crumpled pieces of paper
Together they would dream
Of a life where scars and pain would fade
Of a world where they'd be free.

One day one piece of old paper
Now flattened, fixed, and white,
Was molded and folded into a plane
And he knew he was meant to fly.

The forgotten little piece of old paper
Through tears she watched the sky
Lonely and lost, still broken and blue
She knew that he had to fly.

Well one day the crumpled old paper
Was flattened, fixed, and made white.
And molded and folded into a plane
Now it was her turn to fly.

Two little planes made of paper
Flying different paths
You see young love is simple and oh so sweet,
But young love  never lasts.

Susurros de Los Ángeles (Whispers of the Angels) ~poem

so for spanish class, our assignment was to write a poem about something in nature, and i chose the wind. below is the translation to english. :) dedicated to Rancho, and the exchange students from Juarez. <3 Estoy orando para uds. <3

~~~~~~~~
Legend says that angels walk on Earth
But they cannot talk to the people.
So they whisper in the night to the stars
And the stars sing their lullaby to the wind.
The wind is the messenger of God.
It takes the whispers of the angels and the song of the stars
To the souls of the people while they dream.
The wind kisses the faces of the brokenhearted.
And gives peace to the minds of the frightened.
At night, listen to the wind and its mysterious words.
Because the angels have much to say.
older.
in the cross roads
in the cross hairs
make a choice
if you dare.
wrong roads
with no cares
make a choice
if it's there
good girl
good times
make a choice
if you choose
right roads
right minds
make a choice
win or lose
when black looks white
and white looks grey
make a choice
if you can
when wrong seems right
forget what others say
make a choice
i know you can.
i did.
The Hole~ poem
Going through the motions
In this vast and blackened ocean
Drinking in this potion
They tell me's for my best
Breathing in and Breathin out
This stagnant air flows through my mouth
Vision fading, thirst of drought
No escape, no peace, no rest.
Awoken from my walking slumber
I reach up from my relm of under
For a grasp, for a lover
A lover of my soul
New light changes the course of time
I feel a punctured hand in mine
With whip torn flesh, and spear pierced side
He lifts me from this hole
Lost sight restored to all fulness
Thirst is quenched, the air is fresh
I see Him there, my soul's found rest
My savior, it is He.
And now i will forever praise
The one who saved my life with grace
How beautiful, the bloodstained face
of Jesus, Lord, and King!
summer~ lyric
this is what im feeling, it may not make sense, but it doesnt have to. thats the beauty of any artform. :)
and here i am, spinning in circles here in my head
dancing alone in this crowded room
my songless tune
and here we are, where the soft winds sway
to the rythem of lonliness, to night's embrace
the sting of love on my skin
an endless summer draws near, to its end.
Stars. ~song
Wish upon a shooting star
that somewhere near, or somewhere far
somebody's there.
I wish I may, I wish I might
forget the world, forget the fight
and say a pray'r
I want someone to have, to hold-
while I'm still young, before I'm old-
to fall in love
But scattered dreams in scatterd brains
bring sunny days these pouring rains
from skies above
Well, love was found and love was lost
and broken hearts aren't worth the cost
or could they be?
See i know that this much is true
my hurting heart seems healed when you
are close to me
oh dont you see
yes or no
I know you know
that love can be harder than it seems
but, wishes made on stars can come to be
yes or no
you have to know
if love is a choice, why not choose me
I might just be the woman of your dreams.
Tide.~
wrote this a while ago...the journy you take in your head and heart when you choose to love someone who you know will never love you back. <3
The fear of the unknown, haunts me to the bone, as i stand here alone, without you.
For right became wrong, in our tragic love song, when i thought all along, that i needed you.
But though i am done, and my song has been sung, and the battle i won for my heart,
I still want you near, to calm all my fear, to wipe the tear that you left as your mark.
And somehow inside, though my love has died, im pulled by the tide, to your smile.
I cannot control, the relentless pull, for my heart to be full, and beleive like a child.
I thought we could be, as strong as the sea, completly free, of this life.
But my faith is fading, for i cant keep waiting, for you to start changing, your mind.
I cant hold much longer, the wave's growing stronger, pulling me to wander, back into your arms
In my twisted mind, while drowning i find, i still want you mine, though you've killed my heart.
The seas foam and roar, tossing me to the shore, as i've been before, this i knew.
And the fear of the unknown, haunts me to be bone, i still stand here alone, without you.
Glory and Power Be
well, this softball season has really pushed me in my skills as a player, but most importantly in my character. God has really used this season to open my eyes to how stuborn ive been to his work in me, and how i ignore his love and then say that i am honestly giving him glory. false. he brought me to a reccord low this season, and has raised me up in his steadfast love. so i wrote this on the buss coming back from one of the last games of the regular season, and it goes a little like this.
And i will sing praise to the God of Jacob
Glory and Pow'r be to Him who has saved us
Against all odds, He chose the cross.
So, I will learn to live and to love
To forgive and forget everything that I've done
I never understood
That He's changing me
For my good. <3
for the blog :)
Set music free and let it fly.
If song cant soar, then song will die.
Unchain the truth that sings to all,
forgotten hymns' forgotton call.
Break the bonds of silent reign,
let joy spring forth through song again.
Oh, set music free and let it fly,
for if song cant soar, then song will die. ♥
just listen~
To all the lonely souls in this dark place
To every wandering heart who's lost their way
Doubting dreamers, waiting for open doors
And troubled thinkers, looking for something more
There is Peace in the Blood of Jesus
Cast yourselves before God's holy throne
He will never turn away the broken hearted
You never were, or ever will be, alone.
His love and His grace will uphold you
His power will conquer your doubt
Forgiveness ever flows from His wounds
His blood will ever pour out
For those whom He calls He will keep
and those who are His are secure
For He alone has conquered the deep
In His light, darkness reigns never more.
Such a Time as This~ song
a new song for my bluegrass/acoustic band...just finished it last night :) the statement "you were born for such a time as this" has been popping up in my life quite a lot lately, so i figured maybe God wanted me to actually listen to it... :) so that is what this song is about: how God perfectly places us in the perfect moment of his redemptive history for his perfect purpose for our lives to be fulfilled in us. :) ♥
V1
somewhere in my high-school years i gotta little lost
looking for direction, and if my dreams were worth the cost
everybody else seemed to have life all planned out
But i was still tryin' to find out what mine's about
V2
well Sunday morning rolled around, i grabbed the good Lord's book
dusted off the cover, and decided to take a look
i opened up to Esther in a time of great fear
and sweet ole cousin Mordecai whispered in her ear
Ch1
you were born for such a time as this
oh you were born for such a time as this
you may be just one girl
but its up to you to change the world
you were born for such a time as this
V3
Monday came so that meant all day in a desk again.
My teacher talking 'bout this country goin down the drain
But every class he'd proudly say "God Bless America"
He'd look us in the eyes sayin' "its time to stand up!
Ch2
'cus
you were born for such a time as this
oh you were born for such a time as this
just one strong generation
can change an entire nation
you were born for such a time as this
V4
well i grew up a little, and suddenly i see
no matter what i do in life, God's got big plans for me
So I will use my time on earth to spread the good Lord's news
Cus if we fight, for what is right, there aint no way we'll lose
Ch3
we were born for such a time as this
oh we were born for such a time as this
all it takes is just one voice,
to turn this silence into noise
oh we were born for such a time as this
we were born for such a time as this
ya we were born for such a time as this
so we will spread his light,
keep the faith and fight the fight
we were born for such a time as this
:)
Lighthouse of the free~ poem
This is a longer poem- more of a sonnet actually- it is a parody off of the famous "Lady of Shallott" and used the same rhyme scheme. enjoy :)
In the shadows of the night
A land of storm, a land of fright
Ever haunting is the sight
Of ghostly blaze, of eerie light
Shining through the sea
Waves rage, they crash and churn
Merchant ships toss and turn
But from land, lanterns burn:
The Lighthouse of the Free
Gazing on the gale below
Waters flood, as winds blow
She watches from her high window
Tending the light, keeping its glow
Young Eliza Lee
On her own, day by day
She guides ships that lose their way
And in the house, she must stay:
The Lighthouse of the Free
For she was told, long before
To tend the beacon, evermore
To never walk upon the shore
Or sail above the ocean floor,
Young Eliza Lee
And if she chose to be so bold
To break the rules, the laws of old
Then light would die, the tale foretold:
The Lighthouse of the Free
And so she stays, in silence still
Staring out her windowsill
Longing for a taste of thrill
For love to warm her lonely chill
Young Eliza Lee
She longs the coming of the day
With freedom of the beacon’s ray
And From the house, she’d fly away
The Lighthouse of the Free
So chaotic is the view
Of the deep, tumultuous blue
Which she all too closely knew
But on shore, lies something new
To Eliza Lee
A man stands- a cloaked, dark form
Struggling to fight through the storm
Seeking shelter- safe and warm:
The Lighthouse of the Free
When through her silence, as rains pour
A knock ignites her fear, for
There’s never been a guest before
To enter through her rustic door:
Young Eliza Lee
As she presents herself to him
They meet by candle light so dim
She shyly bids him enter in:
The Lighthouse of the Free
While they talk, by light so pale
He tells her of his love to sail
His near shipwreck, due to the gale
And how he lives to tell the tale
To Eliza Lee
Everything has come to light
She slept her last sleepless night
Trapped inside this house of fright
The Lighthouse of the Free
Infatuated by this man
She swiftly takes him by the hand
And tells him of how she has planned
To sail way from this dark land
Young Eliza Lee
Worried of the ocean’s power
He begs her to wait an hour
Till clouds part and cease to shower
The Lighthouse of the Free
But, still upon the ship they go
To brave the peaking waves below
And caught within the winds that blow
Off they fly by water’s flow
Young Eliza Lee
But she’s forgotten truth and fled
The consequences have been said
And so the beacon’s light is dead.
The Lighthouse of the Free
So in the shadows of the night
A land of storm, a land of fright
All is dark, there is no sight
No ghostly blaze, No eerie light
For Eliza Lee
Waves rage, they crash and churn
Lost, the ship shall not return
Never more shall lanterns burn:
The Lighthouse of the Free
Somewhere~ poem
Winds are raging
storms keep chasing
doubtfull fears into my heart
clouds grow thicker
rain falls quicker
holding me down in this dark
where is he
who calms the sea
and holds the heavans in his hand
has this black sky
covered his eye
from seeing that i cannot stand
when will i feel
his peace is real
and fully conquer all my fear
i know he's there
somehow, somewhere
but why do i not feel hes near.
