Christmas Eve// a reflection

I think one of the devil's greatest tools is to take away joy during Christmas. To make us forget the meaning of the history of this time. If we are dragged down with ourselves and fearful and worried about our lives, we don't focus on the opportunity for eternal life that's been won. We don't want to be better people come New Years. We feel hopeless. There is war. There is death. And there is NOT peace on earth or good will toward men.

It sounds cheesy, but Christmas is a fight. It's a battle, in each of our own hearts for who we live for, and why we live at all. The closer we come to Emanuel's returning, the stronger the devil will fight for souls. And through our Emanuel, we must fight all the harder. I encourage you, friends and family, to keep spreading joy. It's contagious, and people watch the way you live. Spread love, because you are loved so greatly by more than mortal hearts. Spread peace, because this world is screaming for it.
---
Oh come thou day-spring, come and cheer
Our spirits by thine advent here
Disperse the gloomy clouds of night
And death's dark shadows put to flight

Rejoice! Rejoice!
Emanuel shall come to thee oh Israel.
Rejoice! Rejoice!
Emanuel HAS COME TO THEE oh Israel.//

And he shall come again.
